Quando procurei a Luzia, eu estava com dúvidas sobre como montar meu currículo e também sobre qual área seguir dentro da Administração. I was the President/CEO of Bancroft Products, Inc. in Concord, New Hampshire. Luzia Raleigh called me and wanted to make an appointment to discuss the position of HR Director that we had available. We agreed to meet the following morning at 11;00 am, as I had meetings scheduled prior to that. The following morning between appointments my secretary knocked on my door to tell me that Luzia was already there. I told her to ask Luzia to wait in the lunchroom until I was finished.
At eleven I met with Luzia, and told her I was sorry for the mix up in time. She said, “Oh there wasn’t any mix up I just wanted to come in early and get a pulse on your operation. WOW, that was a first, and I liked her right from the beginning.
She was hired, and did a remarkable job. We hired a good number of rufugees, and she assisted with housing, medicial, and language issues. All over and above her regular work load. It was a sad day when she left.

I am honored to be writing this recommendation for Luzia Raleigh. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Luzia at Bancroft Services in Concord NH some years back, and to this day fondly recall our time together.
I was new to Human Resources (HR) at the time, and early on learned that Luzia possessed that rare combination of high professionalism and senior level thinking with no accompanying arrogance. In fact, she was a patient and kind mentor, and was eager to share her knowledge to help me learn HR. I was repeatedly struck by how she maintained her professionalism in the most trying of situations (i.e., with difficult employees ) – never letting the tough moments affect her demeanor.
Luzia is an amazing professional, as well as a stellar and caring individual. I learned not only job skills from Luzia, but how to have fun while at the same time working hard. I was sad when our time working together came to an end. I would jump at the chance to work with Luzia again and I envy those lucky enough to work with her now, or in the future.
